Getting up with a song on your lips is a good idea but you'll find you're way off key if you'vé burn- ed the midnight oil.
When silver is mildewed, rub on some prepared chalk mixed with kerosene. Leave it to dry, then wash off with boiling water.
From Fig-Leaves Binkie Stuart
Almost everyone knows that the first recorded instance of clothing is: "And they sewed fig-leaves to- gether and made themselves aprons." In the famous "breeches" Bible, translated in Geneva in 1560, the word "aprons" reads "breeches" because these garments were worn by French women then."
The word was changed in the au- thorised version published in the reign of James I. because out of Scotland breeches were not worn by women among the English peoples.
Trousers were the symbol of barbarity and effeminacy as worn by Gauls, Germans, and Persians till the Christian time, when they made their first appearance in fashionable society cover- ing the legs of the Emperor Justinian. Their conquest of mankind and womankind' from then on has been both romantic and colourful.
