Great Struggle At King's Park

TWO of the weakest teams in the Mixed Doubles Division of the Lawn Tennis League figured in a. "battle of giants" at King's Park yesterday and it is fittning that as a result of the encoun- ter, they are now both the proud possessors of a point !

It was a great tussle, and Recreio did very well to stage

a last-round recovery after trailing all the way.' They were down 1-2, 21⁄2-32-

a sound performance. This pair U.S.R.C. won three sets in very convincing L.R.C. style.

Miss Stokes, a newcomer to C.R.C... K.C.C., playing with F. Grose, only Recreio won one set. She has a very nice K.C.C. “B” style and is very consistent.off the ground but she is not equipped for net play and for the most part, stuck religiously to the baseline during yesterday's match.
