COMMITTEES ORGANISED

Tokyo, To-day.

The anti-British movement in Japan has in the last few days assumed such dimensions that the au- thorities in Tokyo are themselves taken by sur- prise.

From several leading cities of Japan reports have arrived in Tokyo of formations of further "Anti-British Leagues." In Kobe, Nagoya and Matsujama committees have been appointed to issue anti-British propaganda.

From all parts of Japan, tele- yesterday reached grams

the Japanese Government asking that it maintain a firm attitude towards England and informing the British the Japanese Ambassador that people expected a change of British policy towards China.

The Domei News Agency reports that a committee of management of a "Japanese, German, Italian Friendship Association" has made preparations for a conference of anti-Communist peoples of Asia to take place in the Autumn,

At this projected conference, re- presentatives of Manchukuo, China, Mongolia, Iran, Siam, India, the Philippines, the Netherlands Indies and French-Indo-China will be invited. Trans-Ocean.
