The Chancellor of the Exechequer, Sir John Simon, was asked in the House of Commons yesterday whether, in view of the determined attack by the Japanese authorities on the Chin- ese dollar, any further action was contemplat- ed by the British Government towards main- taining the stability of the Chinese currency. Sir John Simon said that no further action of this

kind was at present being discussed.

JAPANESE USE FOUR DIVISIONS IN SHANSI
