NAZIS AIR STRATEGY Defence League On Probable Terror Tactics
BIG LOSSES LONDON MIGHT
FACE
A review of the probable strategy for an air attack on Great Britain is made by the Air Raid Defence League in the fourth of its A.R.P. reports, published under the title, "The Nature of the Air Threat."
The League believes that Germany's decision to build an armada of bombers has involved an initial outlay of some £250,000,000.

Assuming that 1,200 planes were used and half got through, the League calculates that 700 tons of bombs would be dropped. If, in Britain's present state of prepared- ness, casualties are put at 50 per ton 85,000 would result from the first day's raiding. Of these, about one-third would be killed and two-thirds wounded. There might be 100,000 casualties within than a week.
