WHY RAW FRUITS AND VEGETABLES ARE EXCELLENT BEAUTY DIET

After having treatment at the Bircher-Benner Sanatorium in Zurich, where health is restored through proper diet, a leading New York cosmetician wrote a book on that diet so very woman could benfiet from it.
In this book, "Food for Beauty" it is explained why 'raw vegetables and fruits are beautifying:
"A word about the rawness of the foods in this sunlight nutrition .diet. Practically every layman be- lieves that cooking increases the digestibility of food. That is not correct. On the contrary, in most cases, particularly where over- cooking is present, the reverse true.

The scientific men at the Bircher-Benner Sanatorium in Zurich showed literally thousands of case histories of patients cured by their raw fruit and vegetable diet. Yet large proportion of those men and women cured had insisted when they first arrived that their stomachs and in- testines could not stand raw food!
