LAWN BOWLS
GAME AT COX'S ROAD
SHOULD BE INTERESTING
Indications, as I write, are that we are in for another wet Saturday but it is to be hoped there will be a change for the better and further delay in the fulfilment of the pro- gramme thereby avoided. There is a lot of lee-way to make up.. and it looks as if League fixtures will not be completed before we turn eyes in the direction of Shanghai and the Interport.

The most interesting game to-day promises to be that between the Kow loon Cricket Club and Craigengower at Cox's Road. It will be remember- ed that the former team won by a much measured shot last year, but it is to be hoped that the result will not be as close on this occasion though I see no reason why it should not be.
I forecast a win for the Cricketers as the green is
bound to be on the heavy side which I have an idea may prove a disadvantage to the visitors. I notice a change in the latter's team, A. M. Omar going as third man to his brother and Joe Landolt joining Dick
Basa in place of Charlie Rossolet who fills the vacancy created by the depar ture of Jack Cavanagh, one of the second team skips.
The Civil Servants showed distinct signs of a revival in their game against the Champions last week but I do not think that they are steady enough to hold Kowloon Bowling Green Club, of who have made a change in one their rinks, Bob Duncan and Adam Holland changing places to allow the latter to skip again.
There should be a "friendly" match at King's Park where Recreio "B" team are at home, so to speak, to their Senior team. For once in a while the question of ground advantage will not influence the result and as sheer bowl- ing ability will alone count, I back the opinion of the Selection Committee!
Remaining game in this League Is between Police and Kowloon Dock at the Valley and a win for the former appears to be likely: the Dock team is having a lean time of it but will im- prove its position later in the season I feel sure.
