Captain Holmes, of the 8.8. Lye- moon, appeared in court this morn- ing in connexion with a two and a half hour delay in the sailing of the vessel.
Det.-Sgt. Matches said the vessel had been notified as sailing at 10 p.m. on June 17, but actually did not leave until 12.30..
Captain Holmes handed to Mr. E. Himsworth, who was hearing the case, a paper on which was written his reason for delaying sailing.
Defendant was fined $20.

ROBBERY FROM GIRL-FRIEND
George Tong, alias Tong Fat, alias La Cha-tong, 33, unemployed shop assistant, was charged before Mr. R. A. D. Forrest at the Cen- tral Magistracy this morning with robbery on the roof of No. 330, Lockhart Road, on March 5,
It was alleged that defendant asked a girl friend to go to the roof and then robbed her of a gold wrist watch, a gold finger-ring set with diamond, and a plain gold finger-ring.
Hearing of the case was fixed for June 29, at 2.30 p.m.
Detective Sub-Inspector W. N. Darkins is in charge of the case.

An Indian watchman, Ali Mo- hamed, 31, employed at the Repulse Bay Hotel was alleged to have attacked a prostitute with a pen
knife.
At the Kowloon Magistracy this morning, he was charged with wounding the prostitute, Lo Fong, of Reclamation Street, and pleaded not guilty. He stated that she was his Mistress and he that did not at- tack her with a knife The injuries were received during a struggle when she fell on a number of sacks, containing broken glasses.
The prostitute said that she was stabbed on the arm with a pen knife by the Indian.
Mr. Macfadyen remanded the case till to-morrow and ordered the pro- stitute to be examined by doctor.
