REFUGEE COLONY MAY BE STARTED IN YUNNAN

Negotiations for the establish- ment of a colony of 100,000 refugees of all nationalities are being carri- ed out with high officials "of Chinese Government.

The plan was inspired by Jacob Berglas, a German banker, who envisages a settlement of refugees irrespective of race or creed Yunnan, where they would be grant- ed the same rights and responsibili- ties as Chinese citizens.-Reuter.

BROADCAST OF KING'S RETURN

The landing of Their Majesties the King and Queen at Southamp- ton from the Empress of Britain will be described over Daventry's Empire Broadcast on Thursday at 10.10 p.m. (Hong Kong time) and their arrival in London at 12.25 a.m. on Friday; recordings of the same broadcast will be given on June 23 at 4.15 a.m., 11.20 a.m. and 2.45 p.m. (H.K. Time).

The commentary on the State Drive to Guildhall on Friday will be heard at 10.20

p.m. and the King's speech at luncheon at 11.10 p.m. (H.K. Time).

Recordings of the speech will be broadcast on Saturday at 4, a.m., 11.30
