Teach Girls How To Be
Beautiful
The modern college is a far cry from those days when the three R's were considered the prime re- quisite in the education of young ladies! What would the Deans of yesteryear think about a ment of Grooming in the curriculum? Yet there are a num- ber of progressive schools at which a course in personal grooming and

But the progressives can readily see what sense there is in starting a graduate on the arduous road of life feeling self assured, looking lovely, and knowing that good manners and a smart appearance pays excellent dividends!

OTHER SCHOOLS SHOULD FOLLOW EXAMPLE Unfortunately, Stephens College, with its special advantages, is not within the reach of all girls. But it does stand as an inspiration and example to other educational institutions. The "ma- |jority of maturing girls do need a guiding hand when it comes to grooming and dressing themselves, and in acquiring deportment which creates what we like to call "charm." And if girls were taught how to use cosmetick discreetly to their advantage, we would hear fewer complaints from the male sex about “powder and paint” and from others who object to the obvious hard look some girls achieve.,
