King And Queen Reach The Pacific Coast

Vancouver Turns Out En Masse
Vancouver, To-day.
Arriving here at 10 o'clock yesterday morning (local time) the King and Queen completed the coast-to-coast journey across Canada, about 3,000 miles, in just over 10 days.
Half a million people gathered in the city to wel- come Their Majesties, including thousands of Americans from Washington, Oregon, Idaho and California.
The large British colony in Vancouver turned out en masse to give Their Majesties a rousing wel-
come.
NEW RULER FOR EUROPE'S SMALLEST STATE

The inhabitants, numbering about 11,000, of the tiny Principality of Liechtenstein, between Switzerland and Germany, turned out in full force on Whit Monday to do hom- age to their new ruler, the youthful Franz Joseph the Second.
Prince Franz Joseph several months ago succeeded the late Prince Franz on the latter's death at the age of 86.
Each of the eleven municipalities of Liechtenstein provided 100 me- tres of garlands to decorate the capital city, which has 1,700 inha- bitants.
