THIS AFTERNOON'S LAWN BOWLS PROSPECTS DISCUSSED
(By “SKIP”).
The pick of to-day's First Division pro- gramme appears to be the game between those friendly old rivals, Kowloon, Dock and Kowloon Bowling Green Club, which is due for decision at Hung Hom.
There is always a good struggle between these two clubs, and the same is promised to-day.
to
The visitors have retained the and will have to show good form to team which won last Saturday win but I think that they can do it. whilst the home team have made one or two changes, noticeably the promotion of Glen Cooper to Number Three in Cullen's Rink.
The Club de Recreio "B" team may be able to open their scoring account
Jock Logan has been promoted skip, changing places with H. White no relation to Sam of that ilk-and this will strengthen the team I imagine. The Civil Servants, who will be with- out Ebbage, promoted to the first team, will have a tough game with Police but,
favour.
Efforts To Institute Water-Polo League
Water polo players will be pleased to learn that efforts are being made by the swimming committe of the Victoria Recreation Club to organise an Open Water polo League this season.
Invitations to clubs will be sent out shortly and a meeting will be held next week to obtain the views of the various clubs and their ideas on the matter.
Though nothing definite has been done, it is understood that the League will be run on the home and away system thus enabling all clubs to have their home advantage and making the competition more interesting.
Should support be received from the various Chinese Clubs, the Y.M.C.A. and the Services there is no reason why the League should not meet with immediate success.
LAST SOCCER
OF SEASON-
GAME WE HOPE!
What, it is hoped, will be the last football game this season, will be played at Caroline Hill this afternoon, when South China meet a Rest of the Association team at 5 p.m. in a charity game in aid of the Funds of the Chinese Athletes' Relief Society.
1
Though 16 players were invited
Hossack of the Royal Scots will
on their own green as I am not very ground advantage should tell in their by South China several had to re-lead the attack and will be support-
impressed with the Police team yet: they will probably settle down after a couple more matches.
Second Division Kowloon Cricket Club are playing well as a team and can look forward to their visit to the Civil Service green with confidence. And nothing but a miracle, can, I think, prevent the Champions collecting another couple of points at the expense of the Indians.
Kowloon Bowling Green Club are at home to their Footballing neighboure
Craigengower, who are playing their third consecutive match at home, are expected to overcome the Footballers from round the corner, whilst Taikoo at home may look forward to a couple of useful points, with Kowloon Tong providing the opposition.
I have tipped three of the home teams to win in the Third Division, the Electricians being the exception, but the Austin Road juniors will find the Recreio boys and old boys-a difficult proposition.

A. V. Gosano, Leonard, Hussain, and Gomes are among those who will not be available.
