To-day's Lawn Bowls Programme Discussed

THE First Division programme for this afternoon is what might be described as an average one with no match of outstanding interest even for this early stage of the season.

The Kowloon Dock team, as se- lected for last Saturday's match, does not appear to be at all strong and I fully anticipate some dras- tic changes for this afternoon's game, especially in view of the skill of some players who down as reserves.

If the Club is fully represented, it should put up a good fight against Craigengow but with little data at my disposal I feel impelled to tip the Valley team to win quite nicely.

Kowloon Bowling Green Club open their season with a game against the Indians and should be able to gather a couple of points. One change has been made in the teams originally se- lected, L. A. R. Duncan coming in as second man to his father.

Club de Recreio "A" team will pay a visit to the Valley where I know the! Police will entertain them generously. I do not think the Portuguese boys will show their appreciation by leaving the points with their hosts, however!

The "B" team from King's Park re- ceive Kowloon Cricket Club, who, des- pite the disadvantage of playing away from home, should be able to win by a dozen shots or so.

SECOND DIVISION

In the Second League, the first match on the printed programme is that be- tween Craigengower C.C. and Kowloon Bowling Green Club on the green of the first named. Although I do not expect a repetition of last year's big win, the home team should be. able to retain the points.
