Whither Poland? Asks Goebbels
Berlin, To-day.
The Nazi Propaganda Minister, Dr. Joseph Goeb- bels, in a leader called “Where is Poland Go- ing?" deals with the latest Polish attitude to the German claims.
Dr. Goebbels alleges that an agreement with Po- land would have been reached long ago "if it had not been for the so-called peace-makers in London and Paris," who, he says, really were.
"panic and warmongers.”
Dr. Goebbels says: "During the last weeks, Poland, and especially the Polish press, seems to have lost the last shred of reason and all capability of judging the true value of Poland's military strength. "It is not my wish to pour oil. on the flames, but Britain's attitude is chiefly responsible for this pu- blicistic madness in Poland, which has now culminated in demands for large parts of Germany, including East Prussia.
LONDON RESPONSIBLE "London is responsible for the serious situation in Poland, and London one day therefore will have to bear the consequences.
"Mr. Chamberlain will not be able to excuse himself by saying
that he had not meant events to take such a course.
"In politics, things depend not on intentions but on deeds."
