ARMY BOXING SEMI-FINALS

The semi-finals of the Hong Kong Area boxing championships were held in Nanking Barracks, Sham- Most of the shipo, last evening. events were confined to boys, who displayed keenness and enthusiasm.

The best bout of the evening was between Pte. Burke and Pte. Mc- Gready, which was won by the lat- ter on points. Both 'men were evenly matched and the result was in doubt until the final round, when McGready scored repeatedly against his exhausted opponent.

Boy Stevens and Boy Martin were seen in a good scrap. The fight was so fiercely contested that mid- way Stevens had to discard shoes!
