DEATH SENTENCES COMMUTED

Death sentences passed on the four accused in the "Orange Mur- der Trial," were commuted by the Governor-in-Council this morning to ten years' penal servitude. It will be recalled that the victim died during a robbery as the result of the use of an orange as a gag. The four men were convicted and tenced to death, at the March Cri- minal Sessions.
