STREAMLINED
SUITS ON WAY
Cheerful news for all short men and fairly fat men American tailors have designed stream- lined suits to give the illusion of adding to height and subtracting from waistline. This was revealed at the annual fashion show of the New York Custom Cutters Club. The "slenderising" process, creating an illusion of greater height for men of from 5ft. to 5ft. 8in. tall, will be achieved through a longer leg line and a shorter waist effect on coats and-waist- coats, with long streamlined tails on morning coats and tail-coats.
STRIKE AT CATHEDRAL
Eleven choirmen of St. Nicho- las's Cathedral, Newcastle-on- Tyne, are on strike following the dismissal of three, others.
Calon G. E. Brigstocke, Pro- vost of the Cathedral, said: “I have no statement to make. This is a purely domestic dispute con- nected with the inner life of the Cathedral, and has no bearing on anything to do with public life.”

This has no hip pockets, a lower waist-line, and is much fuller round the chest than the ordinary suit, says Reuter.
Because of these features, it was pointed out, wearers would be able to cram their coat pocket without losing their natty appearance.”
