COLONEL BECK HAS FINAL MEETING WITH VISCOUNT HALIFAX

The Polish Foreign Minister, Col. Beck, had a final talk with the Foreign Secretary, Lord Halifax, late on Thursday evening to clear up outstand- ing points.

In an interview with the press after the talks, Col. Beck expressed optimism about future deve- lopment of the permanent stable collaboration established between the British and Polish Governments.

The Ambassador will inform Col. Beck of the views of the French Government on the current diplom- atic talks.

London, To-day. Following Mr. Chamberlain's House of Commons announcement. on the Anglo-Polish Agreement, the Polish Foreign Minister, had an- other conversation, lasting an hour, with the Foreign Secretary, Lord Halifax, at the Foreign Office.
Questions in the agreement stili outstanding were discussed.
Earlier in the evening Col. onel Beck had a conversation with the Rumanian Minister to Britain, M. Tilea, who had just returned from Bucharest.
M. Tilea also called on Lord Halifax.
The High Commissioners for the Dominions, also called at the Dom- inions Office, where they were in- formed of the progress of the An- |glo-Polish talks-Trans-Ocean.
