Retaliatory Action By Britain Under Discussion
TRADE RESTRICTIONS IN CHINA MAY BE FOLLOWED IN BRITISH COLONIES
London, To-day.
Retaliatory action against the Japanese restrictions on foreign trade in North China, by similar restrictions in our Colonies, was suggested in the House of Commons yesterday by Mr. Robert Morgan, Conservative member for Stourbridge.
Mr. Morgan suggested, in view of the action of the Japanese Government in restricting exports from North China to those financed through Japanese-controlled banks, similar British
action.
JAPANESE KILLED IN BORDER BATTLE

It is announced that three Japan- ese soldiers were killed in two day's engagements with Soviet forces attacking Liuchia, the three rivers district north-east of Man- chuli.
The Soviet forces, supported by three artillery pieces and light and heavy machineguns, were driven back, the Japanese claim. The Russian casualties are not known.
Two to three hundred men were engaged in the fight. Reuter.
