A REVELATION Singapore's outstanding perform-
was undoubtedly Chia Keng-Macao
hock, their centre-forward, who made some glorious openings and
scored the visitors' first point in Race
Hong Kong, the result of a brilliant move with Loong Leek-boo, whose uncanny ball-control on the slippery surface was a revelation.
The visiting full-backs made the most of their task, but were badly supported by their respective sup- porting half-backs, who cracked up badly in the second half when the Association team was on top.
Sheehan was not his usual self at right-back and was very er- ratie at times, while bother Fresh- water and Beltrao, at right-half and centre-half, respectively, were poor in comparison to form- er performances. Freshwater lack-

his display, while Beltrao's distribution of the ball and slowness in getting it up to his forwards was most marked.

HOGMANAY WINS GOVERNOR'S CUP
Heavy rain marred the Macao Jockey Club's April meeting which drew only a moderate gathering of spectators, Hogmanay, ridden by Mr. P. L. Chiu, won the Governor's Cup, the main event, in a blinding
rain storm.
Recently purchased by the Kow- loon Riding School, Merry Fatty supplied a win for G. W. Cooper in the opening race to pay $31.00 which was the highest dividend of the meeting.
Mr. P. L. Chiu had three wins, riding Mac's Adventure, Persian Cat and Hogmanay to victories.
Results were:- 1.—THE RAINTON HANDICAP.

came in for its share of the game. Mr. F. F. S's, Coureur Bleu
Lee Wai-tong was a disappoint- ment and although he secured his quota of goals, he always waited to be spoon fed and when not given the ball, sulked!
Yuen Quan-chong, Singapore's inside-left, was partly responsible for bungling many fine openings by over indulgence in "gallery play," was directly responsible for A. V. Gosano's second goal.
FIZZLED OUT Rain in the second half made things uncomfortable for players and spectators, alike and with the former unable to keep to their feet for any appreciable length of time, to the game just fizzled out..
Although the Singapore Chinese saw as much of the ball as their op ponents, the local team was far superior and should have emerged winners by a half dozen goals at the very least.
