To-Day's Big Soccer Fixture

Kowloon Entertain South China "A" In Vital League Fixture

THE

MANY CHANGES MADE

BY BOTH TEAMS

(By “UBIQUE")

THE Kowloon Football Club ground will probably be packed to capacity this afternoon when Kowloon entertain South China "A", joint contenders with Royal Navy for First Division honours, and in view of the magnificent display Kowloon has always put up at home, the Chinese will be forced to go all out to come away with at least a point.

Kowloon, will be without the services of Hartley, who is nurs- ing a broken finger sustained during the International charity game last Sunday, and his place will be taken by Jeffreys.

Bell will come into the team at right-half in place of Max well, who will be seen among the forwards.

Kowloon have re-arranged their forward line. The White brothers have been dropped and Riertsen will lead the attack, supported by Max- well on his right, and P. Jorge, who has been playing all this season at inside right, on his left. W. Knox and Eastman will be seen on the right and left wings respectively.

LAU HING-CHOI BACK South China "A," still smarting from their unexpected defeat last Saturday at the hands of Police, are fielding their full team, Lau Hing- chol will be seen at right-half while Kwok Ying-kee will fill the inside- right berth.

Eastern, who have an outside chance of challenging for the run- ners-up position, meet Middlesex and a good game should result. Mid- dlesex are always at their best up against a Chinese side and should collect at least a point.

JUNIOR RACE

This week marks the completion of the fixtures of a number of teams in the Second Division, but the fight'

for the Championship is still open and the position among the three leading teams is as. interesting as in the first Division.

The 5th A. A. Regiment will meet Eastern and should collect both points to tie with the Middlesex for first place, with 37 points each.

South China still have two games to play and a win in both will give them a point's lead over the two Army sides. They meet Kwong Wah to-day and are favoured to collect both games. Their only remaining game is against Royal Scots.

LAI WAH CUP FINAL With Lee Wai-tong turning out for the Chinese against the Civi- lians in the final of the Lai Wah Cup to-morrow, on the Club ground, another big crowd is anticipated.

The Civilians have only made two chances in the team which beat the Army (holders) in the Semi-Final round.

A. V. Gosano takes the place of Fowler, who has given up football, and Ferrier, of the Police, comes into the side vice Howlett, who is away.

The Chinese are fielding, the same team which represented them in Continued at foot of Next Column
