Attractive Designs On Slimming Lines Two-Purpose Mules

Less than a month ago, on a pip-

various famous Hollywood dress de-

signers. From there I went to

Paris to Bee the collections for

this coming season.

I could not help thinking

glamour must come easily to the

Hollywood film stars, whose clothes

are designed specially to flatter their figures. They are fortunate

compared to the ordinary woman,

who has to adapt her figure to the

new fashions.

Then, in one of Bond-street's

most attractive lingerie depart-

ments. I asked to see some pretty

nightgowns and camiknickers for

older women. I half expected the girl behind the counter to produce nun's veiling and flannel, instead of which one of those special slid-

The first nightgown held up for

my approval was the one sketched.

It is in white chiffon, cut with a

straight skirt part. It is banded

with blue satin on the bodice and again at the hem. Another chiffon
