M.P.S. To Demand Great National Service Drive Extreme Disappointment Over Results Compulsory Register

Decision?

Immediate pressure is to be brought to bear on the Government for a more vigorous official "drive" on behalf of National Service.

This pressure will come from M.P.s and many local authorities, who are extremely disappointed by the results so far achieved in the enrolment cam- paign.

When the results are reviewed at the end of March, the Government will decide what degree of compulsory, if any, is needed. A compulsory Na- tional Register may follow.
