into the mysterious fire which broke out at the Hirakata Muni- tions Factory on Wednesday and completely gutted the plant and destroyed hundreds of houses in the vicinity.

Officials are of the opinion that the conflagration was due to care lessness on the part of employees and do not suspect sabotage.
