Boisterous London Scenes Follow Recognition Decision
MR. ATTLEE LEADS PROTEST MEETING
London, To-day.
The British decision to recognise General Franco, which is expected to be announced to-day, had a boisterous sequel in Whitehall yesterday afternoon.
A demonstration of protest against the Govern- ment's action was held in Trafalgar Square and addressed by Mr. C. R. Attlee, Mr. Herbert Mor- rison and Miss Ellen Wilkinson.
