LAY IS GOOD However, Bertram Lay, who is be- ing promoted to fill the vacancy left The Club team as advertised is by Lloyd, has been bowling very the strongest they have turned out steadily for the Second Team and this season. century this season, while G. A. White, who completes the team, should stiffen the fielding.
"On the other hand, K.C.C. will be weakened by the absence of N. D. Lloyd from their attack, and G. C. Burnett from the batting depart- ment. Both these players have con- tributed in no small measure to the success of K.C.C. in their four matches to date and it is parti cularly unfortunate that they should be out of the team for the the first big test.
C.S.C.C., on their own ground, should at least extend I.R.C., while Recreio. despite their fine record, will have to go all out to beat Craf- gengower on the latter's territory.
At King's- Park, Navy entertain Army and while no League shield hange in the balance of this match, keenness will rest in the struggle
SECOND DIVISION : In the Second Division, Recreio should be severely tested by Navy but in view of their fine fielding and keen attack, should manage. to carry the day.
K.C.C., another team in line for honours, will also have a hard nut to crack in H.K.C.C. They will be handicapped by the absence of B. D. Lay, who has been their most successful bat.
Another interesting game is the IRC-Police match at Sookunpoo. I have given up trying to forecast where the Police are concerned and I would not be the least bit sur prised at a decision either way,
