CZECH POLICY
TOWARDS MINORITIES
Prague, To-day.
The Foreign Minister, Dr. Chvalkovsky, addressing a meet- ing of press representatives and sceretaries of the Czech National United Party yesterday, gave an outline of the foreign political | situation.
Answering critics of his foreign policy, who had for 20 years un- remittingly preached Pacifism and disarmament, had bothered them- selves about Geneva, the safety of Mar. 25Abyssinia and neglected their own Apr. 4 fatherland, Dr. Chvalkovsky said Apr. 20that Czecho-Slovakia to-day was pursuing a foreign policy forced upon her by the mistakes of those very critics

Friendly relations with the Ger- man Reich was not the only for- eign policy that the Czecho-Slovak Government could pursue but was an inner political necessity.
The mishief-making of those who wanted a return of old times would have to be fought with all available means. Not to under- stand this was a crime, against the people.
Chvalkovsky declared that it was no sign of weakness but a law of self-preservation that the Germans
in Czecho-Slovakia should. be allowed to avow their allegiance to that ideology that the Germans had adopted.
