In the space of an hour Brentford spent £15,000 on two Lon- don footballers' Tom Cheetham, the Queen's Park Rangers cen- tre forward, and Leslie Boulter, the Charlton Athletic inside-left. Since they transferred M'Culloch, the ex-Heart of Midlothian player, and Eastham early in the season, Brentford have been carrying out an intensive search for class players to take their places. Meanwhile, the team has been languishing near the foot of the First Division table, and these transfers will, it is hoped, ense the club's position.
