Attention was drawn in the House of Commons yesterday to methods used in China against high explosive bombs. Particular reference was made by the questioner- Mr. S. F. Markham, Labour member for Not- tingham South to the methods involving light additional roofs built above existing roofs.

Mr. Markham asked whether the Minister for Civil Defence, Sir John Anderson, proposed to de- velop or introduce any such methods in Eng- land.
