A mad buffalo, after dashing wildly through Kowloon streets, was shot dead by a sanitary inspector and a police officer at Shamshuipo police station last evening.

The animal's mad dash took it from Kowloon City, along Prince Edward Road and on to the police station, where its career was ended.

Its owner chased the animal through the streets but was left far behind.

The buffalo, just before be- ing shot, wrecked the car of the Divisional Inspector outside the police station.
