Mr. Joseph Kennedy, United States Ambassador to Britain, before sailing on his return to England in the "Queen Mary" yesterday, announced. that he had had a two-hour talk with President Roosevelt.
Mr. Kennedy denied he had predicted war in the Spring when he appeared with Mr. William Bullitt (United States Ambassador to France) before the closed session of the military affairs committee of Congress on January 10.
Mr. Kennedy said: "I have I told you never predicted war. fellows when I arrived from Eng- land that I was through with pre- dicting on the stock market and foreign affairs.
