UNINTERESTING SENIOR LEAGUE SOCCER CARD

Bickford And Skinner Leaving For Home

A most uninteresting First Divi- sion League soccer programme is down for decision to-day. Kowloon meet St. Joseph's at home and are expected to win, although they will be without the services of Riertsen, their outside-left.

Paul Bell, Shanghai Interporter, will lead their attack, while East-

man will be seen on the left-wing, In the remaining two matches, South China "B" are expected to take both points off Club, who will| have the services of B. I. Bickford, their left-winger, and Jack Skin- ner, their centre-half, for the last time this season as they leave for Home next Saturday.

Middlesex will be without Wat- son and Grogan, but are expected to beat Kwong Wah, who

have fallen off lately.

(By "UBIQUE")

The struggle for the Second Division League soccer champion- ship still continues unabated and with the recent defeats of South China, 5th A.A. Regiment have also entered the running and are making a strong bid for the title. Unfortunately, they will meet one of their greatest obstacles this afternoon, when they encounter Engineers, twice conquerors of South China.

Nothwithstanding their uncon-

RECREIO v C.S.C.C.

In view of their fine record in their last three games, I feel fair- ly certain that general opinion will Recreio the enthusiastic favour team to win easily against Civil Service. This is not unlikely. Had Baker been playing, I would have given C.S.C.C. quite a good chance very of winning. However, this steady bowler does not arrive until Sunday or Monday in the Patro- clus.

I must confess that complete re- versals in form have left me rather confused regarding the Junior teams. Sides which on paper should have won easily, have given dread- C.S.C.C. ful displays.

Nevertheless, if the home team can get away to a good start, it is quite on the cards that they will win, as I have a strong suspicion that Recreio-still comparatively new-to senior cricket-are inclined to have an inferiority complex.

Army, no doubt still smarting con- siderably from the awful hiding administered upon them by Re- creio. last week, will be all out to show the

GOODWIN'S. FORMA They have a big task in front of them, however, as K.C.C. will have out the same team which nearly beat Craigengower last week. If K.C.C.-W. Mulcahy (captain), R. Goodwin can reproduce the form Baldwin, F. A. Broadbridge, G. he showed in the nets last Wed-
