Position Of Ball

The position of the ball in golf varies according to the stance and For the type of shot one faces. shots of little distance but con- siderable loft and which require 'spin, the ball is situated nearer the right foot and a descending blow used. For the longer power blows, however, the ball should be placed forward, the exact spot depending upon the golfer's own preference, but in front of the centre of the body's gravity. This gives the golfer a chance to really speed up his clubhead momentum and have behind it all the power in the body. As the distance the ball travels depends largely on clubhead speed at impact this factor is important.
