LORD CECIL'S APPEAL FOR

AID TO CHINA

Geneva, Yesterday.

Lord Cecil, in his capacity as chairman of the International Peace Campaign, issued an ap- peal to-day on behalf of China for international assistance in her resistance against Japanese aggression.

Lord Cecil's appeal followed. the League Council's resolution on the China question.

He urged closer co-operation between "member states of the League in aid to China and ap- pealed to international public opinion to uphold China's cause.

Lord Cecil appealed for the co-operation of Great Britain, France, the U.S.S.R., and the United States, to ensure parallel and simultaneous action, includ- ing moral and financial assist-
