M. Daladier, the French Premier recently inspected the Ma- reth fortifications, the "Maginot Line of Tunisia" which guard the Protectorate's Libyan frontier. En route he paused to review 15,000 troops drawn from all the southern desert detachments while nero- planes roared overhead. A Tunisian gazes wonderingly at two of the many anti-tank guns massed at Ain Tounine for the great re- view in the desert before the Premier.
