Worry Undermines Woman's Health

Somehow

women

winter 88 .

sets iD, worry more than usual!

They worry about different things that is true, but they do worry. One may have perfectly legiti- mate worry as to where she can get the winter's fuel or a supply of groceries, while another gets in a nervous dither about the debut of her young daughter.

One's circumstances in life makes little difference.

If you want to worry you can always find 1 something to

No worry about. living soul is free of all problems. But how ridiculous to allow these usually magnified problems to cut into your good health and rob you of your beauty!

DEVELOP A PHILOSOPHY

All well and good, you murmur, but you don't know what I have to face. Perhaps I don't; but perhaps I have faced problems in- finitely together to solve than the one which is troubling you to-day. You have to bear in mind that living is a tough existence, a bat- tle of the fit. And what happens when you allow your mind to grow numb and your body stiff through fear? Just where are you head. ing then? What help can you be to yourself and to those dependent upon you?

Women write frantic letters to me, My hair is falling out by the handfuls! I cannot eat a thing, my stomach refuses food! My nails break off terribly and I find myself biting them. Dear Miss Lindsay, what can I do for con- stant headaches? Every bone in my body aches and I just want to lies around the house.

Yes, old and young, the symp- toms are the game. They have made themselves ill with worry and lack the common sense to turn about face and get a grip upon themselves,

Even though your immediate life has a few hurdles over which you must jump, do not get discouraged. You may have to tuck your pride into your pocket for the time being and seek help, but what of it? You may even have to humble yourself and do something you have vehe- mently said you would never do, but what of that? There isn't a man or woman alive who hasn't bitten the dust once during a life-and the better persons they are for having had a mouthful of it!

Be sensible. Save your strength to tackle your problem. Don't just sit and fear it. Keep your chin up, your health intact and your eyes hopeful. After all it is only the es- 'sentials in life that are worth any-1 thing at all and one of the 'prim- ary essentials is good health. If you hold on to it (which protects your good looks) you can frighten the] wolf away from the door or get that deb daughter married to the right man. But without good health

then you really have some thing to worry about! And those around you have tool
