Children in 120 schools of the London County Council are being provided with a linen towel each and if the experiment is successful every child in every L.C.C. school will soon have his or her own towel. The L.CC. is supply- ing the towels and the par- ents or children themselves make up the tower which is kept at school. Each week it is taken home to be launder- ed. The old roller towel had the danger of possible infec- tion. Photo shows children of the Columbia Hursery School, Bethnal Green, each have their own towel, flannel, comb and tooth brush, which are hung separately in their own wash-room.
