JUNIOR TEAMS MAINTAIN SCHEDULE

Royal Scots Seem Certain Of Third Div. "A"

SAPPERS MEET SOUTH CHINA IN SECOND DIVISION TO-DAY

(By "UBIQUE")

Excellent progress is being maintained in the junior division football fixtures and though the majority of fixtures have been ad- hered to in all divisions, only Royal Scots, in the Third Division "A", seem certain to finish at the top of their division, while in both the Second Division and the Third Division "B" the ultimate win- ners are uncertain. South China and Royal Air Force, however, are favoured for the respective divisions.

Several important games are scheduled for this week-end, all of which will have an important bearing on the leaders, and of these the game between Engin- eers and South China should be the best, while the encounter be- tween Royal Scots and P.W.D. should also prove interesting.

To-morrow, 24th R.A. Battery, meet Stonecutters in the "B" section and a great tussle should be witnessed as the both teams still have a' chance of finishing up second, though Stonecut- ters require but a few more points.

́ ́SAPPERS' CHANCES GOOD

The Sappers defeated South China, leaders of the Second Division, by three clear goals in their Junior Shield en- counter recently, and if they field the same side should be able to collect both points, as they have sound forwards in Pelham, Fox and Denyer.

P. W. D., whose team is now com~ posed of mostly former Chinese Atletic. players, have made great strides re- cently and will this week be strengthened by the inclusion of Chen Hing-kwong, former Shanghai Inter- port and player captain of the defunct Kowloon Chinese team.

An interesting programme the Ladies' Hockey League down for decision this afternoon, the two Caer Clark Cup matches being of particular interest. in view of the present League stand- ing.

The important clash between "Y" Ladies and St. Andrew's Ladies having been postponed un- til later on in the season, much importance will be attached to to-day's games, for if "Y", who visit the Valley to-day, drop a point or two, Saints will stand an excellent chance of securing the championship.

"Y" expect to field their full team, but some doubt exists at the moment concerning Miss Harker, who may not play. If Miss Harker does not play, Miss N. Eardley will be pro- moted from the juniors and will fill the right-wing berth, Mrs. Burnett moving to inside-right.

RIGHT-WINGER LEAVES Hong Kong Ladies are also mak- ing several changes, Miss R. Smith coming into the full-back division where she will partner Miss E. Gray, while Miss D. Baker makes an appearance on the right wing. Miss J. Parkinson, who has filled. this position very successfully since the commencement of the League, is leaving for home shortly and will not be participating again.

St. Andrew's will not be at full strength against Central British As- sociation Ladies at King's Park where they are expected to secure another two points.

C.R.A.'S THREE CHANGES Several team changes have also been made in the Junior combina- tions C.B.A. are making three, changes, being strengthened in attack where Miss E. Wool- ley makes a re-appearance at centre-forward, while Misa M. Parsons will be seen at inside-right. Miss B. Louis will be seen at right- half instead of Mrs. W. F. Webb.

St. Andrew's juniors will be with- out the services of Mrs. Rose in goal and ag. a result Miss H. O'Sullivan will again fill this berth. while the vacancy at left-half will be filled by Miss S. Arnold, Miss K. Ho comes in at right-wing.
