BRITAIN UNABLE TO OBTAIN SATISFACTION

Replying to Mr. A. C. Moreing (Cons. Preston) in the House of Commons yesterday, the Under- Secretary for Foreign Affairs, Mr. R. A. Butler, said that in a Note addressed to the British Ambassador on Dec. 8, the Japanese Foreign Minister stated that no change whatever had occurred in the past three months to render a survey of the Shanghai-Nanking Railway pos- sible.
Revenues were collected in Japanese yen and Jap- anese military. yen notes on this line and on the Shanghai-Hangchow Railway.

Shanghai-Nanking Railway.
He said it was some months since he had raised the matter.
