BOOKING NOW OPEN AT THE THEATRE

Both South China "A" and the "Die-Hards" will be at full strength and an excellent game is anticipat- ed. It will be recalled, that on the last occasion these two teams met, Middlesex left the field victors by the odd goal in three, but I think that result will be reversed afternoon.

this

South-China "A"-are-always-seen- at their best in the Shield series and with their intermediate line in such fine working order at the moment, Middlesex will find it difficult to break through.

Most interesting of the First Division League matches is that be- tween Navy and Club and the form- er should win although fully ex- tended,

In the remaining senior encoun- ter, Kowloon are favoured to beat Police. A. S. Bliss, the Kowloon Captain and pivot, is likely to turn out to-day.

In spite of the meagre talent at their disposal, Portugal have reversed their previous decision and have now decided to... enter. for the "Sunday Herald" Interna-Kit _Che tional Charity Cup Competition. This will mean a re-draw, while one of the five teams-England, Scotland, Ireland, Portugal and China will draw a bye into the Semi-final round...

Following last Monday's Council Meeting, Club de Recreio were ap- proached in order to inquire whether Portugal would enter a team and, as a result of further discussions, Mr. C. .M. Alves was appointed convenor. He immediate- ly set to work and both A. V. Gosano and N. Beltrao have miss to play, while it is also learned that B. Gosano, who is at present in Swatow, will spend a fortnight in the Colony during the Christmas holidays and he too has expressed a desire to turn out.

pro-

Together with the many Portugu ese players who turn out for Second and Third Division teams, Portugual should be able to field a fairly strong side.
