Shanghai, To-day.

A large-scale purge in the So- viet Russian fleets stationed at Vladivostok and in the Amur River flotilla in Nogaiwo Sovjet- zki harbour has recently been carried out according to reports received here yesterday.

The purge was directed accord- ing to Soviet accounts against the "enemies of the people."

It is believed here that the action was undertaken in connection with the recent purge in the Russian youth movement since numerous members of that movement have been arrested in the Far East. Trans-Ocean.
