TO DRAWN GAME Yesterday's Friendly Cricket Match

In a friendly cricket match held at Sookunpoo yesterday, Civil Ser- vice Cricket Club held Royal En- gineers to a draw, losing 8 wickets for 76 runs in reply to Sappers 154 for 8 dec., when stumps were drawn owing to poor light.

Engineers lost Land and Daniels for only 2 runs, but Major Baker aud Goodger stopped the rot, the former scoring a sound 53. Denyer's 48, which included 10 fours, was made in 15 minutes.

Civil Service lost Holledge quick- ly, but Aisn'ie and White. in 40 minutes, took the score to 88 be- fore being separated. Colledge and Ebbage were the only other players to reach double figures, Colledge hitting four boundaries. Land, who bowled consistently well, came out with an average of 6 for 21.

LONDON WANTS TO HOLD 1944 OLYMPIC GAMES

London, Yesterday. The Amateur Athletic Association Mooting In London yesterday, have decided to rive their fullest support.

H.M.S. “Rainbow", was anchored in the vicinity of H.M.S. "Corn- flower's" mooring.

The course was from the "Maskee" round Number 28 mooring buoy, Rumsey Shoal buoy and back to the "Maskee”.

Mrs. Luce made a perfect start and crossed the line 1 second after the gun, but unfortunately lost the wind inshore of Kellett follows: Island together with T87 and a few other dinghies.
