Valenciennes, To-day. -Twelve Mobile Guards last night put up a determined defence at the Sahut works where they were pro tecting 60 men at work.
A body of 1,200 demonstrators marched to the works and stoned the Guards, who held their ground defending themselves with the butts of their rifles.
