The film "Four. Feathers” is being shot at Denham, Bucks, by London Film Productions. During a scene where a fort, held by na- tives, is bombarded, the fire engine stands by to quell any outbreaks as a result of the explosion. Photo shows the explosion taking place. A small conflagration resulted which was immediately extinquished.

Reeds from the fens are being used to thatch the roof-of a new inn being built in place of the old "Running House" on the Chatham Road, near Maidstone. Crofters have come from Norfolk to do the thatching which is a specialised job.`
