Mr. Wilson's "Recall For Consultations"

Mr. Cordell Hull, the Secretary of State, said yes- terday that he would not undertake to indicate how long Mr. Hugh Wilson (United States Ambassador in Berlin, who has been "recalled

for consultations") would be kept in the United States.

In the light of Mr. Cordell Hull's statement, well- informed circles believe that Mr. Wilson might be absent from Germany indefinitely.

Mr. Hull disclaimed knowledge, of London reports that the British and United States. Governments were planning a joint step to aid the Jews, apart from the assistance already being given by the inter- national governmental committee in London.
