Siam Preparing For Young King's Coronation

Bangkok, To-day. With the arrival of King Ananda Mahidol less than two weeks ahead, the Siamese Government and people are feverishly preparing a Royal Re- ception.

First towns to fete the King will, however, not be in Siam. They will be Penang and Singapore. Here, elaborate preparations have been going on, and the Penang programme includes a sa- lute of 21 guns on arrival of the m.v. "Meonia" to-morrow. The British Resident will board the ship and be received in audience by the King.
