Geary Gives Up County
Cricket

London, October 19.-George Geary, noted Leicestershire and former England all-rounder, is giving up county cricket in order to take the post of coach at Charterhouse School next May.

Geary, who is now in his 16th year, first played for Leicestershire in 1912, and, except for the war years and one season when he appeared in Lancashire League cricket, he has been à valued member of the county team.

TOMMY FARR SUSPENDED
FAILURE TO SETTLE WITH SYDNEY HULLS

London. October 16. The Administrative Stewards of the British Boxing Board of Control announce that the B.B. B.C. boxer's licence of Tommy Farr was suspended from yester- day, and will remain suspended until he makes a full settlement to Sydney Hulls (promoter)" in accordance with Stewards of Ap- peal decision issued on July 14, 1938.
