JAPAN DENYING FOREIGN RIGHTS

SHANGHAI, TO-DAY.

A STATEMENT OF FAR-REACHING CONSEQUENCE REGARDING

FOREIGN PROPERTY IN CHINA WAS MADE HERE BY A JAPAN-/ ESE SPOKESMAN.

Japan, he said, would claim the right of its military to enter the safety zone and would decline formally to recognize the right of an interna- tional safety zone commission to administer the zone or accord immu- nity to Chinese policemen employed in the zone.
