Before Mr. R. Edwards morning, Lo Sze, 27, coolie, and Lo Nam, 26, salesman, were charg- ed with larceny and receiving. stol- en property, respectively.
Det. Sergeant Oakley said Lo Sze was seen at a marine store dealer's trying to sell a quantity of lead. When questioned he admitted that he stole it from the Hong Kong Telephone .Co.
The second defendant, Lo Nam, ́pleaded not guilty to the charge of]
receiving stolen property.
Mr. W. G. Griffen, engineer of the Company, said Lo Sze was em- ployed by the Company as a coolie for about 12 months.

Lo Sze was bound over in sum of $50 for one year, and se- cond defendant was discharged.

DAGGERS HIDDEN IN NEWSPAPER
Before Mr. H. R. Butters at the Central Magistracy this morning, two street coolies, Chan Fuk, 59, and Cheung Kam, 43, were charged with possession of offensive wea- pons.
Sergeant Mackay said defendants were arrested at No. 79 Electric Road on information, with two dag- gers wrapped in Chinese newspa- pers in their possession. They were formerly employed in fishing junks, and now were street coolies in Kowloon.
Sentence of nine months' hard labour was passed on first defen- dant and six months' on second, and both were recommended banishment.
