DAY OF UPSETS AND BIG DIVIDENDS

KEEN RIDING FEATURED SECOND DAY'S PROGRAMME

Courting Eve Fares Disappointingly

P. Y. T. WEI'S GOOD DAY

(By “RAPIER”)

Only four ponies were sent out to face the starter in the open- ing event of the second day of the "Double: Tenth" Race Meeting, the Yunnan Handicap, over six furlongs, and it became evident that opposition was confined to Elizabeth (Mr. Hearne) and Just In Time (Mr. Wade). These two ponies met on a previous occasion, when Elizabeth secured the better of Just. In Time, but then there was a difference in weight which the latter had to concede.

Cameronian (Mr. Encarnacao) was

Yum Sing appeared to be running quite strongly, but after coming into the straight it fell back leaving Dou- ble Chance (Mr. L. Walmsley“ Cotham) and National Guard (Mr. Yeung Wing Kwal) to battle out the finish. National Guard had the bat- ter of the argument by a. length, and,
